Independent ... the new Grauniad

The Guardian used to be infamous for poor spelling and dodgy grammar. Wikipedia enlightens:

The paper is sometimes known as "The Grauniad" (coined by Private Eye), as a result of frequent typesetting errors for which it became infamous in the era before computer typesetting (the joke is that it misspelled its own name in the masthead, though this never actually happened).
But the Independent seems to have taken over the mantle, with a succession of bloopers in the last couple of weeks.

Without wanting to turn into a poor misrepresentation of Lynne Truss (with her Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation, I present two recent examples of editorial sloppiness. How difficult is it to apostrophise a headline and spell someone's name consistently (with a "K").
(All spelling and grammar mistakes above are obviously either intentional or just embarrassing!)
